U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials second-place finisher Ryan Hall is the United States's fastest marathon runner, and a religious man. So religious that God is his coach.

According to the New York Times, reporting in January on the U.S. Olympic Trials marathon, a race in which Hall finished second, "Sometimes, God wakes him in the middle of the night and gives him training guidance 'that blows me away'".

The Times report continued: “I don’t really know what I’m doing, but I know how to talk to God, and I know he wants to give me insight and be involved in the process and he loves it when we’re dependent on him.”

In yesterday's Olympic marathon, Hall failed to finish, citing a hamstring injury. Time for a new coach?

Awesome! I wonder if some climate change deniers that also seek advice from the Old Man should reconsider. Cheers!

Hahaha! The thing about God is that he's responsible for all of it. Not just the good bits. That dodgy hamstring? God made that.

I did another comic about Ryan Hall, on the same subject, back in January.
